Self, body, identity, how you come across and your daily environment.
DSC · Descendant
Partners, marriage, close relationships — "the other".
Zenith & Nadir
ZN · Zenith
Latitude where the planet is directly overhead — high-focus, "peak" energy.
NA · Nadir
Where the planet is underfoot (opposite the zenith) — unconscious / foundational.
Aspect lines
60° · 90° · 120° · 180°
The ACG lines of a virtual point at the planet's longitude plus the aspect. 60° sextile = supportive
opportunity; 90° square = tension and drive; 120° trine = ease and talent; 180° opposition = the opposite
axis. Example: "Sun 90° MC" is where the Sun is square the Midheaven.
Compass bearings from your birthplace: where each planet was in the sky at birth, drawn as a direction.
Traditionally used for travel and orientation.
Geodetic
A separate system: the planet's zodiacal longitude mapped straight onto terrestrial longitude. Not
classical astrocartography.
Parans & orb bands
Parans
Latitudes where two bodies are simultaneously angular (each on one of the four angles) at
the same moment. Considered powerful — two planetary themes combine. Shown as points; listed in the Parans
panel with their coordinates.
Orb bands
The shaded ±3° zone around each MC/IC line marks where that line's influence is strongest. Sitting exactly
on a line is intense; many people prefer to live slightly off it.
How to read it
Closer = stronger
A planet's effect is greatest on its line and fades with distance (roughly strongest within ~240 km, still
felt to ~1000 km).
Lines combine
Where several lines or a paran cluster, their themes mix — read them together, not in isolation.
Birth time matters
The ASC/DSC lines shift about 1° for every 4 minutes of birth-time error, so an accurate birth time is
essential.
What it is (and isn't)
A symbolic, reflective map of emphasis. It is not a validated prediction — use it as one input among many.
